Within the last five years, the world has been experiencing an economic slowdown, and as a result many have found themselves living in a time of financial famine. I believe this has had an affect on just about every person and every family in some way. I've known people who have lost their businesses and even their homes. Many have taken pay cuts, and have had to rethink their entire lifestyle. Within this time of economic slow down, it's imperative that we guard our heart and do not allow this famine to invade our thinking, our expectations and dictate a new identity of being less than. In other words, we can't allow what's happening to us to take up residence IN us. The devil would love nothing more than to take advantage of this season and accomplish this. He loves to take natural circumstances and use them as a leveraging point to tip the scales in our believing to sway or circumvent our faith.

Let's take a look at 2 Corinthians 4:6-7 - "For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us."

When we were born-again, we made the decision to make Jesus the Lord of our life, and in return we received a rich heavenly deposit into our being. The Holy Spirit Himself came to live within, and brought with Him the "light of the knowledge of the glory of God." If you do a word search on the word "glory" you'll find the meaning as: heavy, weighty, wealth - and the very best and the brilliance of who and what God is! This is what has been deposited on the inside of each one of us because of the new birth, or being born-again: receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This is what we have access to as children of God. This is WHO is in you now and this is what you have access to right this very minute.

While this is an awesome understanding, Paul went a little further and described this heavenly deposit of the knowledge of the glory of God as treasure. The word treasure, in the Greek language, literally means a storehouse or warehouse of a rich and vast treasure. When you begin to understand what the glory of God is, then you can begin to see that this treasure we are privy to is not just enough to get us by in this life... NO, on the contrary, it is instead a treasure that is as big as God Himself - one that is infinite, and without limitations, AND is in you now!

Not only did Paul link up the knowledge of the glory as deposited treasure, but went on to say that this treasure gives way to the right of the excellence of God's power! Within the Greek language, there are about 6 different words that can be translated as power. Each describes a different aspect of power such as authority or energy. This word used for power in the Greek is the word "dunamis," the very word that our English word dynamite is derived from! Dunamis literally describes the explosive, miraculous power of God in manifestation - His strength, abundance and might! This is so exciting!!! But wait, there's more...

In his declaration of this magnificent power, Paul uses a very descriptive word to designate the quality of this dunamis power that's connected to this rich treasure we have inherited. He said that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. In the Greek language, this word excellence means: to go way beyond, immeasurably supreme, in great excess - way beyond measure. Now, link this revelation together with your new understanding of dunamis, enabled by the glory of God and you can see that we indeed have an extreme wealth, a treasure of immeasurable power and might - a storehouse of "blessing ability" residing on the inside of us right now!!! Do you see it? I'm telling you that this is IN you right this very minute. Every last bit of it. Oh what a wealthy, inherently rich people we are. Your manifested, material status or lack there of does NOT determine your true wealth.

With this realization, we can begin to understand King David's statement of awe and wonder when he said: "What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels (literally Elohim - God), and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet." Psalm 8:4-6

We need to rethink who we are in Him. We need to acquire a treasure mentality, a wealthy mentality, an extremely favored by God mentality. We are a miracle looking for a place to happen. We are carriers of this glorious power and might, to be revealed and manifested on all whom we come in contact with. Don't allow the devil to trick you into thinking thoughts of poverty, lack and powerlessness. You are blessed to be a blessing. You are blessed and highly favored - I mean HIGHLY favored, and the only thing that can stop the manifestation is YOU. If you choose NOT to take it to heart and apply faith with it. But, for those who will tap into it - rich blessing awaits.

Remember, Isaac sowed in the land during a famine and reaped 100 fold!!! (Genesis 26:1-12) In the natural, that is foolish and is thought of as a waist of precious seed. But, the poverty and lack that was affecting everyone else, had to give way to the glory when this covenant enriched man of God sowed seed into the ground. The natural circumstances, the natural law, that was governing the region was powerless to oppose the blessing of God which could do nothing else but bring forth life - the life of the glory of the blessing of God!!! Don't allow the natural events of this present time to dominate your thinking and persuade you to believe it is stronger than the blessing that is upon you and in you now. You are The Kings Kid - an heir of God and joint heir with Jesus Christ (Rom 8:16-17). Just think about that for a minute - everything Jesus has is yours! He is holding absolutely NOTHING back, He can't - you are in the covenant, the Blood has been shed. We've got to change our stinking thinking, and begin to think in line with the Word - we've got to become transformed by the renewing of our mind, that we may prove (to be a true fact) what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God - Romans 12:2. Notice, He wants us to experience manifestation - that IS the will of God for you!

Use your God given authority and command poverty, lack, doubt and unbelief to leave you now in Jesus Name. Begin to expect blessing and favor - begin to expect the anointing of God to operate and explode onto the scene at every turn. You are destined to reign in this life (Romans 5:17). Stand up straight, throw your shoulders back and lift your head up high - you really don't have any problems because you've got everything you need and more to succeed in a mighty big way! Don't forget to factor in the blessing in every endeavor of life that concerns you - take advantage of the advantage!!!
