None Of These
Things Move Me

We all should know for certain that the devil is defeated, but not destroyed. He will still attempt to come against us with wrestlings of the mind through trials and adversity, attempting to displace our faith through natural reasoning. We all should therefore have a firm grasp on who we actually are in Christ, knowing that every promise in the Book is ours as heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ within the everlasting new covenant that can not fail. Therefore we can face every trial with the true attitude of a winner who is assured of emerging victoriously regardless of what comes our way.

A great New Testament example of this winning attitude is the Apostle Paul. He was no stranger to adversity and knew how to keep his focus upon the Lord and the promise of His Truth without being tempted or swayed into self pity when in the midst of dire circumstances. In prison many times, he set his focus on the joy of the Lord and ministry calling while encouraging others with the life changing truths regarding the Kingdom of God.

When the devil attempted to stop him in his tracks and put him out of circulation, Paul began to hear revelation from the Holy Spirit regarding the armor of the soldiers who were guarding the prisoners. In Ephesians 6, he passed on to the church a tremenously rich revelation regarding the full armor of God which speaks of our defensive and offensive weaponry and armor regarding spiritual warfare! His attitude of faith, patience and true Kingdom joy caused him to always remember that he was a winner in Christ - every time!

I so admire his attitude regarding adversity. Take a look at Acts 20:22-24 - “And see, now I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there, 23 except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that chains and tribulations await me. 24 But none of these things move me...”

Did you catch that bold proclamation of faith? “But none of these things move me!” What had happened to him on the inside, was far greater than what was happening on the outside. What a bold statement to the devil, what a reminder to himself of his stand as a child of God and a joint heir with Jesus Christ, one who realized that he was indeed the righteousness of God in Christ and was truly seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come!!! (Eph 1:21, 2:6)

He was convinced that God had a plan a purpose for his life and that nothing could stop him from accomplishing and fulfilling his destiny. We need to do the same. Learn to turn the tide on the devil by getting back up, even though you may have been knocked down. If he knocks you down seven times - get back up eight. You’re only a looser ONLY if you stay down. A winner will always get back up. They get back up on the Word, get back up on their faith, they take a deep breath of his presence and go at it again in the power of the Lord, led by the Spirit of God. They refuse to be moved from their stand of faith and the Word which is their birthright, their true inheritance as a child of God.

Notice what is says in Proverbs 24:16 (NIV) - “for though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again” Also look at Micah 7:8 - “Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The Lord will be a light to me.” This is the true stance of a winner.

You may be in a situation that is filled with darkness at the present time, you may be presently knocked down, but rejoice because He is in you and He is your light, He will bring an empowerment to you, strengthen you and will lead you out into victory IF you will remember who you are in Him and will focus on His abundant supply instead of the smoke screen lie the enemy is trying to get you to believe in the midst of your trial or circumstance. Learn to develop an "I will not be denied" attitude, get back to the promises and begin to boldly declare that NONE OF THESE THINGS MOVE ME!!!

Remember what 2 Corinthians 2:14 says: “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ...” Did  you notice that absolute word “always?” It means every time without exception. The word triumph speaks of a great victory, achievement or accomplishment that brings about great joy and celebration. Get back up on your stand of faith, lift your hands up high and begin to praise your God right in the midst of the battle, in the midst of your adversity and circumstances and allow Him to turn your trouble into triumph!

I believe this verse will now take on new meaning for you. Psalm 30:11-12 - "You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, 12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever."

You’re a winner - you’re a mountain mover, an earth shaker and a history maker!!! Be bold in your stand of faith and declare to the devil and his demons that you are trusting in your God and that you are convinced that NONE OF THESE THINGS MOVE ME!!! Now lift your head up high and throw your shoulders back and go forth in His strength and fulfill your destiny!!!
