Scripture Reading Plan
"Jesus Reigns" |
In order to get the full benefit of working with a journal in your daily devotional time, after browsing the reading plan, I would suggest that you take the time to go back to the journaling instructional page by Clicking Here. Make sure that you do not allow the reading plan to become a burden to you, approach it with excitement, knowing that the Lord will use it to enhance your Christian walk with Him. Simply mark off the days you have read, and if you've missed any days and if you are able to make them up without it being burdensome, then by all means go back and make up the ones that you've missed. All too often with reading plans, by missing days of reading, a person can feel like they've failed or let the Lord down. They reason within themselves that they have too much to make up and then quit the program altogether. You need to know that's exactly what satan wants you to do! He knows that the Word will have great impact on your life if you continue with it, and you'll be much more difficult for him to deal with! If you begin feeling like this, then don't worry about what you've missed and just begin again on the current day and don't worry about making up the lost days - it's okay. You'll become better at this as you go along. Remember, you are developing a new discipline in your life that the Lord wants you to achieve. He desires for you to reap the many benefits that will come to you through the knowledge of the Word. So just keep starting over if you need to, asking the Lord to help you, until it becomes a daily routine. I am confident you will eventually adjust as you begin to realize the many benefits that come from a continued application of the living Word of God. When you begin your daily reading, may I suggest that you take a moment and lay your hands on your open Bible and ask the Lord to reveal His glorious Word to you that day. Thank Him for His presence and for His teaching and instructing ministry to you, and have an attitude of expectancy as you read so as to receive your personal nugget for the day from the Scripture reading plan. Realize that as you read you are not alone, you are reading as a student being taught by the Spirit of the Living God. How wonderful! If you will highlight the current month below, then copy (ctrl-c) and then paste (ctrl-v) into your word processor, you can print out the current month and then cut it out in a 2 or 3 inch wide strip to place in your Bible as a book mark so you can refer to it from day to day, marking off the days as you go along. Or you can download them all in a pdf format and then simply cut them out - Click Here for PDF When the page opens, click on the download icon at the upper right hand corner of the page. I am sure you will find this to be one of the finest reading plans available. It is by far the best I have ever seen. |
